About BRMC

The present church building became a place of worship in 1925 when the congregation outgrew its last place of worship in the High Street of Bognor Regis.  The previous chapel became a fire station and is now the site of the Lock Centre.

Part of a bigger sharing of faith

Bognor Regis Methodist Church is part of the South East District of the Methodist Church in the UK.

The South East District of the Methodist Church covers the counties of Kent, East and West Sussex and parts of Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire as well as Malta and Gibraltar.

Pictured below are our new minister Revd Tongayi Matamba with two of the retired Ministers who continue to serve the church Tony and John, and two of the Stewards Martin and Debbie. In the middle of the photo is Revd David Hinchcliffe, Chair of the South East Methodist District, on his first visit to Bognor Regis Methodist Church in October 2023.

The calling of the Methodist Church is to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission. It does this through: worship, learning and caring, service, and evangelism. You can read more about this on the Methodist Church website.

So many ways you can be part of church life

Bognor Regis Methodist Church is an active, friendly and welcoming place to worship and be part of a supportive community.

Below, two of our worship leaders chatting to the Revd Tongayi Matamba after a service. Many of our volunteers provide support to the church and the local community. Could you join and help the community continue to grow and strengthen?

Sunday worship is often followed by coffee and biscuits in the church hall. A time to share how the week has gone, encourage and spend time with both old friends and make new ones. The Revd Matamba and Revd David Hinchcliffe are pictured (below) with a few of the members of the church, who help in many ways to support and welcome everyone who comes through the doors and in fundraising for charities.
