Regular events took place at Bognor Regis Methodist Church, until its closure on 31 October 2025. Many of the previous events were featured in the latest news section of the website and on the church’s Facebook group. Note, many of the photographs of the community are being moved to an area for sharing with people who were members of the church community. Changes to services
News of services / fellowship opportunities from Bognor Regis Methodist Church community will be published once confirmed.
Please refer to the update on the
homepage, from the Minister, the Revd Tongayi Matamba, relating to the church building on the corner of the High Street and Waterloo Square.
The final service in the building took place on 26 October 2025. If you are an attendee and have not received the full letter relating to closure of the building as yet, please contact the Minister or your Pastoral link.
2 November 2025, 3.00pm, Memorial Service: Remembrance & Hope – as this service will not be taking place in the church building, please contact the Minister if you would pastoral support or wish to remember a family member or friend. There are other services in the town and surrounding areas –

9 November 2025, 10.30am, Remembrance Sunday Service – there will not be a service at the church building, but you can join a short service in the town from 10.30am. The town service, will include
the wreath laying ceremony and a two minutes silence. It will be held at the War Memorial in Clarence Road Bognor Regis, and is organised by Bognor Regis Town Council. Felpham Methodist Church will hold a Remembrance Service on 9 November at 10.30am.

23 November 2025, 10.30am, the recommissioning of Pastoral Visitors will not take place at the church building. Please contact the Minister or Anita for ongoing details of Pastoral Visitors.
25 December 2025, Christmas Day – you can find alternative Christmas Day services using the links above.
Fellowship and Home groups
Please contact Anita if you would like to join these groups after 31 October 2025.
Please check the online calendar or the
monthly news sheet above for dates the Home Groups will meet. If you are interested in joining a Home Group, please talk to Anita at a Sunday service.
Social and outreach
The final Well-Come Point at Bognor Regis Methodist Church building, off Waterloo Square, was on 24 October 2025. Please keep in touch with organisers for updates. The Well-Come Point will meet at St Wilfrid’s Church from 7 November 2025. There will be no Well-Come Point on 26 December 2025.
Whist Club – Monday afternoons, 2pm to 4pm, were held in the Church Hall until the end of October 2025. Please keep in touch with organisers for updates after 31 October 2025.

The Music Man project – the church community is pleased to support this inclusive music learning and performance project, organised by the Salvation Army in Bognor Regis for Sussex, and which takes place in its hall. This will not be affected by the changes to Bognor Regis Methodist Church building.
2025 Additional and special services
7 September 2025, 10.30am, Covenant Service
12 October 2025, 10.30am, Harvest Service, followed by refreshments. Note there is no Harvest Lunch this year so that people can go to the circuit service at Westergate in the afternoon.
19 October 2025, 10.30am, Morning Worship, followed by refreshments
26 October 2025, 10.30am, Service of Hope and Thanksgiving.
A bring and share lunch will follow for church attendees.
Centenary 2025 events
Ride and Stride – the 100 year old Bognor Regis Methodist Church building was open on Saturday 13 September 2025 for this event. Check out more details and how you can get involved. Highlights from some of the activities from Ride and Stride can be found on its story.
